James Long is a French national who joined the Chinese government owned trading industry in late 2003. Founder of TST, he brings more than twenty years of work experience in business strategy and development, sales management, consulting, purchasing, and trading gained in leading French multinational companies in the sectors of defense electronics (Thomson-CSF Singapore, now Thalès), building materials (Lafarge Singapore and France), strategy consulting (Stratorg France), home improvement retail business (Castorama, Brico Dépôt, France) and in large Chinese government owned trading company (Shandong Machinery Imp & Exp Corporation, Hangzhou, China).

James received his MSc in management from l’ESC Lille (now SKEMA Business School) majoring in audit, his MA in geopolitics from the University of Paris VIII and his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

James is fluent in French, English and Mandarin.
